About Me

SO, the age old question... How did I get started making soap? I have always been crafty and boredom plus crafty equals soap. And equals photography, jewelry, sewing, and whatever other crafty thing catches my attention for the moment.

All of my goods are made right here in SE Portland.

Yep, that's me.

I have been playing with photography since I was in junior high and my Dad gave me my first camera. Growing up in the south I found inspiration in the nature around me. The vivid sunsets, the old mossy trees, and dead cars overgrown with kudzu were all around me and all interesting.

When I moved to Oregon, this was such a different environment. The nature around me was almost overwhelming! but slowly, I have found inspiration around me. I look at the sunshine, the color, and the smile that Mother Nature has to offer me.

I have been at the Milwaukie Farmer's Market for the last 2 years. Every week I would walk by the vegetables and the carrots were set up in an artful display that mesmerized me! Who knew carrots could be so beautiful? I looked around at all the other veggies and some of the most amazing flowers and once again my eye was drawn to my camera and the result is here for you now.

When I am not crafting, I enjoy reading food blogs, cooking, bacon, fine cheeses, wine and the perfect martinis, playing with my sweet pooch Coe, and hanging with my friends. I also drive my friends and co-workers bonkers with my obsessive recycling.
